"Landor" was the trade name for a British publishing company (likely Wildt & Kray or similar associates) that produced a very popular series of
real photo postcards of cats in the early 1900s [1.4, 1.16]. The actual photographer who captured these images is often uncredited, but the "Landor's Cat Studies" series became a widespread phenomenon in the Edwardian era.
